October 14 - 28, 2010: Thailand

  • Oct. 13 (Wed. night): Bangkok
  • Oct. 14 (Thursday): Tour Grand Palace and Wat Po (optional massage or fortune reading)
  • Overnight train from BKK to Chiang Mai: depart from Bangkok evening of Oct. 14 (Thur. night) arrive in Chiang Mai - Oct. 15. This is a wonderful experience. We book sleepers, buy lots of fun street food and set off for the North. By about 9 or 10pm the staff comes around, makes beds out of the seats, drops a bunk from the ceiling and everyone has their own private space complete with fresh linens.
  • Oct. 15-18 (Friday-Tuesday) - Chiang Mai: Tour day and night markets, visit Elephant Sanctuary, explore temples, eat amazing food monks blessings, alms offerings!
  • Oct. 19 (Tuesday) - Overnight meditation retreat
  • Oct. 20-23 (Tuesday-Saturday) - Chiang Dao Nest Yoga Intensive: Mountain temple, sacred caves. Afternoon of visiting local orphanage and Karmic yoga (volunteer helping village with some project-last year we harvested rice)
  • Oct. 23 (Saturday) - Travel to island
  • Oct. 23-27 (Saturday-Wednesday) Sun, Sand, beach and daily yoga
  • Oct. 27 (Wednesday) return to BKK
  • Oct. 27 (Wednesday) Bangkok: Travelers depart for the USA on the 28th
